** What it is**: An annual outdoor celebration hosted by the 5 Healthy Towns Foundation, bringing together local farms, chefs, and community to support farmers markets across the region.
** Location & Time**: Held at Gee Farms (14828 Bunkerhill Rd, Stockbridge, MI) on Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Doors open at 3:00 PM and hors d’oeuvres served at 4:00PM.
** Purpose & Beneficiaries**: Proceeds from the dinner support the operating costs of five local farmers markets: Chelsea Farmers Market, Dexter Winter Farmers Market, Grass Lake Farmers Market, Manchester Farmers Market, and the Open Air Market in Stockbridge.
** Menu Highlights**:
A down-home chicken BBQ prepared by the Stockbridge Firefighters Association, assisted by Stockbridge Area Emergency Services Authority cadets, using poultry raised by FFA students.
Vegetarian options are available, with side dishes featuring fresh, local produce.
** What’s Included**: Dinner, two drink tickets, live music, a silent auction featuring gift baskets and gift cards from local businesses, and tours of the Gee Farms arboretum and grounds (3PM).
